   Marietta Blount Picot, 97, of Spiers Road, a retired schoolteacher, died July 2, 1993, in her home. She was born in Como (Hertford County) and was the daughter of the late Guy C. Picot and Rosalind D. Picot. She retired from the North Carolina public schools after 50 years and was a member of Buckhorn Baptist Church, the Womens Missionary Union, the North Carolina Association of Educators, Class State Teachers Associations and the Hertford County Retired Association of Educators. She was a graduate of Chowan College. 
   Survivors include a sister, Hannah Picot of Como, a brother Guy C. Picot of Franklin, Va.; four nieces and a nephew. 
   A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Buckhorn Baptist Church by the Rev. Ray Craig. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, is handling arrangements.
