Wayland Augustus Perry, 80, of the 3200 block of Joyners Bridge Road, a retired farmer, died Sept. 7, 1992, in a Franklin hospital. 

Mr. Perry was born in Chowan County, N.C. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Farmers Hunt Club and Franklin Moose Lodge 1573. 

Survivors include his wife, Syble Lamb Perry; a daughter, Jeannette P. Bird of Eustis, Fla.; two sisters, Hazel J. Stewart of Nags Head and Margaret P. Hofler of Hobbsville, N.C.; a brother, William H. Perry of Vallejo, Calif.; and two grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Richard Peerey. Burial will be in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
