Franklin D. Padgett Sr., 60, of Parker Store Road in Suffolk, died Nov. 21, 1992, in a Norfolk hospital. 

Mr. Padgett was born in Alcolu, S.C. He had retired from the Sheet Finishing Department of Union Camp. He was a member of South Quay Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Castellow Padgett; a daughter, Patricia Tyler of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Frankie Padgett Jr. of Courtland and Leroy Padgett of Franklin; a sister, Rose P. Myers of Suffolk; a brother, Donald L. Padgett of Carrsville; four grandchildren, Neil Padgett, Taylor Tyler, Lane Padgett and Leslie Tyler. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Donald Trump and the Rev. Reginald Warren. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin.
