Lillian Miller Murphy, 92, died Aug. 3, 1999, in Westminster Canterbury. 

Born May 10, 1907, in Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thweatte and Telza Smith Miller, and the widow of Ralph Edward ``Pete'' Murphy. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. 

Survivors include her son, Thomas Edward Murphy of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Henry T. Miller Jr. of Sonoma, Calif.; and two granddaughters. 

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, in Suffolk Christian Church by the Rev. Michael D. Halley, followed by the committal of the ashes in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms . Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, P.O. Box 1457, Suffolk, VA 23439, or to Westminster-Canterbury Fellowship Fund, 3100 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is in charge.
