Born in Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late David L. and Addie Pierce West. She was a member of and a Pink Lady with the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Richard R. McCaskey; two sons, Richard Ray McCaskey Jr. and wife Teresa of Carrsville and Michael Douglas McCaskey and wife Cheryl of Windsor; two sisters, Eunice Fay Ward of Robersonville, N.C., and Patricia Ann Lineberger of Ahoskie, N.C.; two brothers, David Lee West of Cofield, N.C., and Edward Leon West of Lumberton, N.C.; four grandchildren, Justin, Courtney, Austin and Korbin McCaskey. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Dr. Richard L. Peerey. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 3593 Carrsville Hwy., Franklin or the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, 100 Fairview Drive, Franklin, VA 23851.
