Obituary of Lloyd Herbert Mason LLOYD HERBERT MASON Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, January 20, 2002 Lloyd Herbert Mason, 71, died Jan. 18, 2002, in Suffolk. Born in Beebe, W.Va., he was a son of the late Benjamin and Rosa Huff Mason. Mr. Mason was a graduate of Marshall University and retired head of Internal Review at the Naval Shipyard. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Zuni Ruritan Club, and a member of the Zuni Hunt Club. He was an elder of Bethany Presbyterian Church and a choir member. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Belzer Robertson Mason, and children, Michael E. Mason and Richard A. Mason, both of Chesapeake, Rebecca M. Esopi and her husband, Frank, of Cooper City, Fla., Dale L. Robertson and his wife, Lisa, of Windsor, Kathleen R. Moore and her husband, H.B., of Suffolk, and Glen M. Robertson of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Chester Mason of Columbus, Ohio, and Charles Mason of Glen Dale, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Shannon, Sean and Alexander Esopi, Nathaniel and Mallory Moore, Nicole Eicoff, Christine Esopi. He was predeceased by a sister, Adeline Sellers and four brothers, Okie, Milo, Audrey and Dale Mason. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni, with the Rev. Douglas Van Niel officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
