Mrs. Malik was a native of Harrisonburg, Va., and was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Lucy Jane Bailey Yeakle. She was the widow of Steve A. Malik. She was retired from Rose's Department Store and was a former bookkeeper at McCrory's Department Store in Harrisonburg. She was a member of High Street Untied Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Franklin Fire Department. Survivors include one son, Steve L. Malik of Franklin; one sister, Pauline Yeakle of Courtland; two grandchildren, Steven B. and Kelly M. Malik, both of Orlando, Fla.; two nieces and one nephew. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. David Erickson and the Rev. Robert Fridley. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
