Robert Scorgie Maitland, 74, died Dec. 31, 2003, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Vivian T. Maitland. 

A Masonic service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, followed by a worship service by the Rev. Steve Felker of Swift Creek Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in Capron Cemetery , Capron, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Heights Civitan Club Inc., P.O. Box 476, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 for use in the construction of the Frances-Holland-Woo Daves Group Home in Prince George County sponsored by the Super Kids Ministries Inc.
