Mrs. Luter was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was also the owner and operator of Jack's Curiosity Shop. Mrs. Luter was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and the widow of the late Elisha M. Luter. Survivors include: one daughter, Peggy Joyce Tunnell of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Crawford Joyner, Ivor, Mrs. Beulah Britt, Smithfield, and Mrs. Nellie Glass, Hopewell; and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Purvlance Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., July 30, officiated by Rev. Stephen Weed. Burial was held at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jesse Uzzell, Massey Joyner, Terry Hedgepeth, Wayne Hedgepeth, Bill Piland, Ross Haskins. Memorial donations may be made to Windsor Rescue Squad.
