Mrs. Lassiter was born in Capron. She was a member of Southampton Chapter 68, Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of Turner Stephenson Lassiter. Survivors include three sons, Earl S. Lassiter of Newport News, and Archie R. Lassiter and T. Wayne Lassiter, both of Richmond; three sisters, Dorothy L. Brown of Greenville, N.C., Vida M. Lee of Boykins and Sally J. Hudson of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two brothers, Lenton O. Crutchlow of Emporia and Elmo Crutchlow of South Hill; and six grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beechwood Cemetery by the Rev. Phil Motley. McDowell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
