Hension Knight, 89, of 2863 Copeland Road, died May 3, 1998, in Louise Obici Hospital. 
A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late William A. and Livie Baines Knight. Mr. Knight retired in 1975 from Hobbs-Adams Engineering. He was a farmer and a member of Southside Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Margie G. Knight; daughters, Faye Knight Jordan, Deborah Knight, both of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jordan of Suffolk, Melissa Thompson of Vidor, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Tyler Thompson and Cheyenne Carpenter; brother, Bernard Knight of Suffolk and nieces and nephews. 
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the graveside in Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart McCarter. The family will be at the home. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge.
