A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late William A. and Livie Baines Knight. Mr. Knight retired in 1975 from Hobbs-Adams Engineering. He was a farmer and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Margie G. Knight; daughters, Faye Knight Jordan, Deborah Knight, both of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jordan of Suffolk, Melissa Thompson of Vidor, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Tyler Thompson and Cheyenne Carpenter; brother, Bernard Knight of Suffolk and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the graveside in Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart McCarter. The family will be at the home.
