Obituary of Earl "Pop" Clifford Kivett EARL C. KIVETT Daily Press (Newport News, VA) - May 24, 2001 Earl "Pop" Clifford Kivett, of Edge Hill Dr., Franklin, Va., died Wednesday, May 23, 2001. He retired as a machinist in 1986 for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was also part owner and operator of Lake Worth Landscaping, Lake Worth, Fla. He was a native of Liberty, N.C., and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late Connie Hazel Kivett and Eva Maxwell Kivett. Survivors include sisters, Violet Watts of Tampa, Fla., Hazel Jessup of Martinsville, Va., Dorothy Lee Burns of Greensboro, N.C., and Faye Barker of Raleigh, N.C.; and special extended family, Lyle and Faye Cash, Cynthia and Tom Sanford, Loretta and Tom Twiddy, Donna Whisenant, Lyle Cash Jr. and Marylou. Also, faithful family dog for over 15 years, Baby Kivett. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Al Bush. Interment will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join family from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
