Gertrude Bryant Joyner, 80, of the 32000 block of Champs Drive, died June 4, 1993. 

Mrs. Joyner, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, was the widow of Ulysses P. Joyner and the daughter of the late William A. and Bessie Kitchen Bryant. She was retired from St. Regis Paper Co. and was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. 

Survivors include three sons, Ulysses P. Joyner Jr. of Orange, Va., the Rev. William T. Joyner of Sarasota, Fla., and David I. Joyner of Portsmouth; two sisters, Zeaulene B. Sykes of Portsmouth and Bessie B. Sheldon of Ninilchik, Alaska; one brother, H. Franklin Bryant of Virginia Beach; and nine grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, June 7, in Hunterdale United Church of Christ by the Rev. James X. Camak. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland . The family will receive friends in Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
