Born in Glastonbury, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Clair H. and Charlotte Nieschuler Fisher and the widow of James Henry Joyner Jr. Mrs. Joyner was retired as assistant program director after 31 years of service with the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Joyner is survived by two daughters, Claire Joyner Helfert and her husband, Rick, of Richmond, and Grace Lynn Joyner Drake and her husband, Stewart, of Newsoms; two sons, James Henry Joyner III and his friend, Robin Thomas, of Richmond, and Mike Joyner and his wife, Erin, of Courtland ; one sister, Dorothy F. Stanger of Glastonbury, Conn.; five grandchildren, Sarah Helfert, Lisa Helfert, Stephen Drake, Chris Drake, and Hannah Joyner. She was predeceased by one brother, Clair Fisher. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Riverside Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Parks.
