Obituary of Jane Hardy Shaw Jones JANE HARDY SHAW JONES Virginian Pilot - 04-07-2005 SUFFOLK - Jane Shaw Jones passed away April 5, 2005, at her home in Holland. She was born Dec. 21, 1925, in South Hill, Va., a daughter of Clifford Hill and Elva Mae Simmons Shaw. She graduated from Madison State Teachers College and taught school in Suffolk for four years. In 1951 she married Bobby ones and spent the rest of her life as a mother and homemaker in Holland. She was an active member of the Holland Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Jones of Holland; a son, Cliff Jones and wife Becky of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Katherine Wollerman of Quinton, Va.; sons, Duane Jones and wife Sandya of Alpharetta, Ga., and Andy Jones of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Jones of Raleigh; sister, Ann Davis and husband Grady of West Point, Va.; nieces, Beth Goodwin and Judy Benjoff; and nephews, John David Shaw. She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. John Shaw of Sykesville, Md. A memorial service will be held at the Holland Christian Church Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. Memorial donation may be made to Holland Christian Church, P.O. Box 7097, Suffolk, VA 23437, or the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
