Washington St., a retired carpenter and cabinetmaker, died July 17, 1992, in a Hampton hospital. Mr. Jones was born in Sunbury, N.C. He had retired from Charles H. Shotton & Sons. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Laura Wilkins Jones; four daughters, Margie L. Jones of California, Eunice M. Jones of Blackstone, Va., and Florence A. Jones and Ruth A. Jones, both of Suffolk; five sons, Frank Jones Jr., James R. Jones, Peter J. Jones, Russell E. Jones and Patrick L. Jones, all of Suffolk; two sisters, Florence J. Elliott of Suffolk and Nettie J. Cornwell of Conway, N.C.; a brother, J.B. Jones Jr. of Sunbury; and 19 grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Ivor Cemetery by the Rev. William R. Hall. Friends may join the family at the residence. Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
