Mildred Rhodes Johnson died Sept. 7, 1998. 

She was the widow of A. Howard Johnson and was a member of Monument Heights Baptist Church and former member of Windsor Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judith J. and Robert W. Rideout Jr. of Richmond; her son, Albert H. Johnson Jr. and daughter-in-law, Linda, of Franklin; four grandchildren, Brad Johnson of Memphis, Clay Johnson of Franklin, Trey and Jason Rideout of Richmond; and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Paige and Blake Johnson of Memphis. 

Remains rest at the West Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Richmond, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. in Windsor Cemetery , Windsor.
