She was born October 27, 1936, in Chesterfield County, Va. to Hazel Elizabeth Harrell Sykes and William Samuel Sykes, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was married to Glenn Hill Hudson, Jr., January 14, 1956, and they had four children. She is survived by her husband; her son, Kevin Hill Hudson, his wife, Rebecca and her son, Sean Michael Murry, Ormond Beach, Fla.; Her daughter, Linda Elaine Hudson and her daughter, Natasha Aimee Burchett, Arlington, Va.; her daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Hudson, South Salem, N.Y.; and her son, Wayne Andrew Hudson, his wife, Elaine and their daughter, Megan, Nixa, Mo. She is also survived by two brothers, Stephen Montgomery Sykes, Richmond, Va. and William Samuel Sykes, III, Sacramento, Calif; four sisters, Jacqueline E. Samuel, Richmond; Barbara S. Rogers, Stony Creek, Va.; Carolyn J. Allen, Arlington, Va.; and Robin K. Sykes, Jarrett, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. The Reverend Ray Clanton of Grove, Okla., will officiate a private cemetery for the family on Thursday, August 4, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South following cremation of the body, interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Culpepper, Virginia.
