CHESAPEAKE  James Milton Horton Sr., 74, of the 1000 block of St. Julian Drive, died Aug. 11, 1998 in Chesapeake.
  Born in Portsmouth, he was a retired salesman of Standard Coffee Company and the widower of Margaret N. Horton.
  Survivors include three step-daughters, Linda Mosher and Shirley Branham, both of Chesapeake and Debbie Ferry of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a son, James M. Horton, Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Doris Crawford of Portsmouth; 12 grandchildren; a special granddaughter whom he raised, Kimberly Capozzoli of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William R. Horton, Sr.
  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Paul Moore. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel.
