SEDLEY - Sherry Atkins Holt, 31, died Aug. 20, 1998. She was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and a member of Courtland Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and former choir member. 

   Sherry is survived by her husband, Robert Michael Holt; a son Robert Michael Holt II of the home; her parents, Edgar and Trudy Atkins of Courtland; a brother, Ed Atkins and his wife Kristi, of Alabama; and her maternal grandmother, Margaret Edwards of Courtland. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Jimmy Edwards, and her paternal grandparents, David and Esther Atkins.
   A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Holt Family Cemetery, 33493 Unity Road, by Hugh Spaulding. The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
