Holland , 81, of the 5100 block of Peake Lane, Briarwood, Churchland, died May 28, 1997, in Maryview Health Care Center. A native of the Holland Community, Suffolk, he retired from farming and moved to Portsmouth in 1972. He was then employed as an ordnanceman for a number of years at St. Julian's Creek Ordnance Depot. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church, Suffolk. Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Holland Morgan, Mary Virginia Holland Brown and Winifred Holland DeBenedictus Nice, all of Suffolk; three nieces and a nephew. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the R.W. Baker and Co. by the Rev. George Close and the Rev. E.E. Jones with burial in Holland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
