HOLLAND The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, September 30, 1994 Maude Bailey Holland , 88, a former resident of Holland Station and a retired teacher, died Sept. 28, 1994, in a Red Bank, N.J., hospital. Mrs. Holland was born in Buckingham County, Va. She was the daughter of the late Martha Pugh Bailey and Willie E. Bailey and was the widow of Preston George Holland . She was retired from Holland School and was a member of Holland United Church of Christ, Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anne H. Brinkley and William S. Brinkley Sr. of Lincroft, N.J.; a sister, Grace B . Holland of Holland , Va.; two grandchildren, Anita Clay Brinkley of Nashua, N.H., and William S. Brinkley Jr. of Amherst, Mass. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holland United Church of Christ by the Rev. David Seymour. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the church.
