She was born on May 7, 1915, to the late Wilson and Irene Holland . She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Holland Underwood; her brother, Bernard Holland and nephew, George D. Underwood Jr. Miss Holland was a native of Holland , Va., where she was a member and choir member of Holland United Church of Christ and a member of the Holland Womans Club. For the past 12 years, she had been a resident of Nansemond Pointe Healthcare Center. She is survived by her niece, Betty Jean Clarke and husband Hunter of Virginia Beach; niece-in-law, Annette Underwood of Suffolk; great-nieces, Lynne Turman and husband George of Mechanicsville, Va., and Elizabeth Clarke of Wilmington, N.C.; great-nephews, George D. Underwood III and wife Debbie of Sumerduck, Va., and Holmes Clarke and wife Kim of Virginia Beach; great- great-nieces, Kate Turman and Emily Turman and great- great-nephew, Hunter Clarke III. The family wishes to thank the staff of Nansemond Pointe Healthcare Center of Suffolk for all the friendship and care given to our aunt. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holland United Church of Christ by the Rev. Larry Walser with burial in Holland Cemetery.
