Helen Winborne Holland, 94, died April 29, 1992, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Holland, a former piano teacher, was born in Como, N.C. She was a member of Franklin Garden Club, Franklin Woman's Club, Franklin Literary Club and Franklin Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Chowan College and the Peabody Conservatory. She was the widow of W.J.M. Holland Jr. 

Survivors include two sons, W.J.M. Holland III of Brunswick, Ga., and Samuel W. Holland of Richmond; two sisters, Annie Sue Majette of Charlotte, N.C., and Dora Winborne of Ahoskie; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Sharon James and the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Wright Funeral Home. 

Memorial donations may be made to Ruth Camp Campbell Library or to the Franklin Baptist Church Library.
