Mr. Holland was born in Isle of Wight County. He had retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. Survivors include his mother, Ella Butler Holland of Windsor; seven sisters, Hilda H. O'Berry of Newsoms, Della H. Edwards of Surry, Grace H. Brown of Lafayette, Ind., Dorothy H. Byrum of Windsor, Jean H. Pavlina of Franklin, Jane H. Mountcastle of Montgomery, Ala., and Betty H. O'Berry of Ahoskie; and five brothers, V. Awood Holland Jr., Joseph M. Holland and Russell S. Holland, all of Suffolk, E. Ray Holland of Dendron and Willard B. Holland of Windsor. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Windsor Cemetery by the Rev. Raleigh O. Baker. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Sidney F.
