Obituary of Francis David Holladay FRANCIS DAVID HOLLADAY Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, August 9, 2001 Frank D. Holladay died Aug. 6, 2001. He was the widower of Evelyn Sykes Holladay and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Norfolk. A graduate of Christ Church School, he attended the University of Virginia and the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary. He was a Mason and a member of Hirain Lodge No. 340 in Suffolk, Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies, and Khedive Temple of the Shrine. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and golfer. He was a member of the Ocean View Golf Association and the Tidewater Senior Invitational Golf Association. Survivors include a son, Francis D. Holladay Jr. and wife, Catherine; two daughters, Elise H. Smith and Mary Virginia Eckhardt and husband, Richard, all of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday at noon in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. The family would like to thank the many dedicated and caring health care professionals who helped him along on his final journey. A special thanks goes to Joni and Fred at SNC Norfolk, Newton Road, Norfolk.
