FRANKLIN - Cecil Edward Hayes, 62, died May 21, 2005, at Louise Obici
Hospital. He was an Army veteran and a team crew operator in the sheet
finishing department of International Paper. He was a member of Buckhorn
Baptist Church, Como, N.C., and the Como Ruritan Club.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Barbara B. "Ginger" Hayes; his
mother, Elizabeth Griffith Hayes of Como; a daughter, Melissa Rene Hayes
of Gloversville, N.Y.; a son, Ryan Edward Hayes of Franklin; and a
grandson, Blake Alexander Hayes. He was predeceased by his father,
Horace Temple Hayes.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Buckhorn Baptist
Church. Burial with militaty honors will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright
Funeral Home and suggests that memorials may be made to the Buckhorn
Baptist Church Steeple Fund, P.O. Box 67, Como, N.C. 27818.
