SUFFOLK - Robert Thomas "Buddy" Hawkins, 57, of the 3200 block of
Archers Mill Road, passed away May 17, 2004. Born in Suffolk, he retired
from the Department of Parks and Recreation, City of Suffolk.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Eunice Burris Hawkins; a brother,
Walter T. "Buster" Hawkins, Jr.; his sister, Nancy H. Weeks and husband
Rick; and his beloved nieces and nephew, Chelsea, Sarah, Rachel and
Taylor Weeks, all of Suffolk. He was predeceased by his father, Walter
T. Hawkins, Sr.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Stewart
McCarter in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at Harrell
and Hill Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at
other times
