Evelyn Vick Harris, 83, of Whitehead Road, a retired schoolteacher, died Aug. 2, 1992, in a Franklin hospital. 
Mrs. Harris was born in Branchville and was a graduate of Radford University. She taught at Franklin Elementary School, Northampton Academy in North Carolina and also taught elementary school in Severn, N.C. She was the widow of Arthur Burris Harris. 
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne H. Williams of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Arthur Harris Jr. of Branchville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 
The graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. Phil Motley. McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements. 
Memorial donations may be made to Boykins Baptist Church or Branchville Fire Department.
