A native of Whaleyville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Jefferson David and Daisy Iola Doughtie Wolfley. She was a retired electric eye operator from Planters Peanut and the widow of J. Marshall Harrell, She was a member of Holy Neck United Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Harrell Mathais of Gates County, N.C.; grandchildren, Thomas T. Eason of Suffolk and Andrew M. Mathais of Gates County; a sister, Gertrude W. Simpler of Rehoboth, Del.; a brother Stonewall Jackson Wolfley of Suffolk. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Holland Cemetery by the Rev. Scott Fuller. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hill Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
