   SUFFOLK  William Thomas Harrell, 84, died Aug. 23, 2002. A native of Suffolk, he was born Sept. 29, 1917. Mr. Harrell was the son of the late Emma Smith and Percy Samuel Harrell and was predeceased by a sister, Mary Emma Harrell Horton. Mr. Harrell was a lifetime member of Liberty Spring Christian Church where he served in many church offices and served as church treasurer for many years. He was also a deacon emeritus of the church. He was a 50-plus year member of McAllister Masonic Lodge in Whaleyville. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Eason Dorow and a son, Thomas Stanley Harrell, both of Suffolk; and two grandchildren, Thomas Noland Harrell and Phillip Eason. The family would like to thank Lou Ellen Nurney for her care of Mr. Harrell. A graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Liberty Spring Christian Church cemetery by the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert. The family will be at the home of Thomas Harrell, 427 Clover Lane, today from 1 to 5 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, VA 23439. R.W.Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
