Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 9, 1998 Norfleet Warren Griffin Sr., 65, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Griffin was a native of Southampton County. He had retired from Union Camp Corporation and was past owner of Griffin Logging Company of Franklin. He was an active member of the House of Prayer, Floyd, Va. He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge AF & FM (NU)151. He was a disciple of Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Edna Forehand Griffin; two daughters, Patsie P. Gray of Sunbeam and Teresa Griffin Moray of Virginia Beach; three sons, Norfleet Warren ``Buck'' Griffin Jr. of Franklin, Johnny T. Griffin of Franklin, Maynard Edward ``Eddie'' Griffin of Woolwine, Va.; three sisters, Shirley Vaughan of Margrettsville, N.C., Estelle Crump of Iron Station, N.C., and Lucille Roe of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Lawrence Griffin of Corpus Cove, Texas, Joe Griffin of Franklin and Fletcher Griffin of Suffolk; and nine grandchildren, Annie, Randy, Brooks, Dusty, Leslie, Joey, Griffin, Lindsey and Michael. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel by his son, Buck Griffin Jr. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms , Va.
