Obituary of Andrew James "Jimmy" Grady ANDREW JAMES GRADY Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, August 15, 2002 ANDREW J. GRADY (aka) Andrew James "Jimmy" Grady, 67, of the 1600 block of Faulk Road, died Aug. 14, 2002, in Louise Obici Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, Mr. Grady retired from civil service as a supervisor in the Shipbuilding C&R for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 30, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the son of the late Robert Clayton Grady Sr. and Verna Johnson Grady. He was also predeceased by three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Betty Grady; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri G. and Wayne Jones of Suffolk and Jackie L. and Chief Petty Officer Scott J. Wood of Santa Fe, Texas; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Jones, Grady Jones and Samantha Wood; sisters and brothers-in-law, Corrine G. and Wilbur Harrell of Portsmouth and Geraldine G. and George K. Greene of Norfolk; and a sister-in-law, Stella G. Acey. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Carter Dey. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Harrell & Hill Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
