Sam Glover, 79, of Pretlow Street, died Nov. 23, 1992, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Mr. Glover was born in Sunbeam and was retired from Cavalier Logger Sales Service. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Galatia Baptist Church, Galatia, N.C. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ola Davis Glover, in 1977. 

Survivors include his wife, Emma Brinkley Glover; his daughter, Linda G. Darden-Byrd of Handsom; three grandchildren, Donna, Floyde J. Jr. and Rebekah Darden; one step-grandchild, Teresa B. McCaskey; and one step-great-grandchild, Justin Wes McCaskey; two sisters, Mamie G. Carter and Doris G. Gray, both of Suffolk. 

A graveside service, with military rites, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at 802 Pretlow Street and 28058 Beale Road in Handsom. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Rescue Squad.

Sam Glover, 79, of Pretlow Street, died 23 November 1992 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
