Survivors include two daughters, Pat Woodward of Norfolk and Debbie Woodward of Virginia Beach; a son, James E. Woodward of Williamsburg; and five grandchildren. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Windsor Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas B. Nee. Friends may join the family from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, where a Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Tidewater Lost Chord Club, c/o American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
