Obituary of Sally Coburn Francis SALLY EDMONDS COBURN FRANCIS Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - June 30, 2003 Sally Coburn Francis, 73, died June 29, 2003 at her home. Born in Kelford, N.C., Mrs. Francis had been a resident of Franklin for more than 50 years. She worked for many years at Parker Drug Co., and it was because of this employment that Mrs. Francis was well known by many area residents. Mrs. Francis was the widow of Jesse B. Coburn and James E. Francis. Mrs. Francis is survived by three daughters, Sylvia C. Boykin of Franklin, Teresa L. Coburn of Easton, Md., and Michelle F. Williams of Greenville, N.C.; a son, Craig B. Coburn of Franklin; two sisters, Bessie Shiflett of Franklin and Mary Lee Fees of Easton; three brothers, Edgar Edmonds of Jackson, N.C., William Edmonds of Rocky Mount, N.C., and James T. Edmonds of Gloucester, Va.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Francis was also the mother of the late Trula C. Price. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
