Ernest Elbert Fletcher Jr., 41, passed away Dec. 5, 1997, in Rex Healthcare, Raleigh, N.C. 

Mr. Fletcher was born in Portsmouth. He was the owner of Magnum Motors Inc. of Raleigh and was an avid sports fisherman. He was a friend of many in the automotive industry in Raleigh and the surrounding Wake County area. 

He is survived by his parents, Ernest E. and Carolyn Gillette Fletcher of Franklin; two sisters, Tammy J. Fletcher of Norfolk and Sharon F. Pitts and her husband, Mickey, of Franklin; a brother, Tommy R. Fletcher of Atlantic Beach, N.C.; a niece, Amanda L. Fletcher; and two nephews, Brandon L. and Matthew L. Pitts. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
