He was a retired farmer, a United States Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church and the Newsoms Hunt Club. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Davis Ferguson; three daughters, Patricia Livesay of Newsoms, Joy Grizzard of Branchville, Foy Caulder of Franklin; a sister, Jo Ann Jones of Chesterfield; a brother, Fred Ferguson of Newsoms; and five grandchildren, Penny VanBrackle, Jamie Caulder, Angie Grizzard, Jonathan Caulder and Andy Grizzard. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 1994 at 2 p.m. in the Newsoms Baptist Church, Newsoms, Va., by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. The burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms.
