A native of Chowan County, N.C. she was the daughter of the late Alexander Boyce and Eunice Byrum Boyce and the widow of Clifton Thomas Fanney, Sr. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. and David E. Byrum of Suffolk; a son, C.T. Tommy Fanney, Jr. of Columbus, GA.; four grandchildren, Shelia and Jason Byrum and Pam and Debbie Fanney; tow great-grandchildren; a sister, Amelia Boyce Jones of Suffolk; and a brother, Haywood Boyce of Winfall, N.C. A graveside service will conducted at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart McCarter. Friends may join family at the home of Barbara and David Byrum, 3336 Deerpath Road.
