Eleanor White Ellsworth, 73, of the 700 block of Pretlow St., died Sept. 20, 1993, in Chesapeake General Hospital. 

Mrs. Ellsworth, a native of Southampton County, was the widow of Crawford Gordon Ellsworth. She was a retired private duty nurse and a member of Franklin Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Marie E. Hobbs; a son, C. Gordon Ellsworth Jr.; and four grandchildren, Lauren Ellsworth, Crawford G. Ellsworth III, Pamela D. Hobbs and Jennifer C. Hobbs, all of Chesapeake. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by Dr. Roy DeBrand and the Rev. Sharon James. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
