Virginia Collins Edwards, age 80, a resident of Boykins, Va., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. She was born in Greenville County and was daughter of the late Norfleet C. and Magnolia Rowell Collins. She was a member of the Boykins Baptist Church. She was the widow of Andrew F. Edwards. 
She is survived by a daughter, Floydette E. Pitt of Smithfield; a son, Gene Andrew Edwards of Boykins; a sister, Helen C. Faison of Emporia; two brothers, Parker Collins of Richmond and Cato Collins of Emporia; three grandchildren, Gene Andrew Edwards Jr., Gregory Scott Edwards and Sharon Pitt Miller and four great-grandsons. 
A funeral service will be held in Boykins Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity. The family will be at the residence of Gene A. Edwards, Boykins. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, is handling arrangements.
