Paxina Edwards Edwards, 69, of Captain John Road, died April 25, 1992, in a Franklin hospital. 

Mrs. Edwards was born in Joyner, Va. She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church and was the widow of R.G. Edwards Jr. 

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth J. Williams and Peggy E. Layne, both of Richmond; her mother, Jane Burgess Edwards of Joyner; two sisters, Catherine E. Dunn of Sedley and Sarah E. Wrenn of Emporia; a brother, George B. Edwards of Joyner; and three grandchildren; 

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Courtland Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary R. Powell. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad or the church. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
