Obituary of Ellen Morris Dupree ELLEN MORRIS DUPREE Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - September 3, 2003 Ellen M. Dupree FRANKLIN - Ellen Morris Dupree, 91, passed away Sept. 2, 2003 in East Pavilion. Mrs. Dupree was a loving wife of the late Charles Allen Dupree. She was the mother of two surviving daughters, Linda D. Rogers and husband Douglas of Franklin and Mary Ellen Snyder and husband Jim of Demopolis, Ala. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Douglas Rogers III and wife Tammy of Ocean City, Md., Charles A.D. Rogers of Franklin, Susan S. Berling and husband Matt of Atlanta, Ga., Amanda Snyder of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a great-grandson, Augusties Stephenson Rogers; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Frances M. Simmons. Mrs. Dupree was a member of the Franklin High Street United Methodist Church, the Louise Pace Matthews Circle and Ladies Sunday School Class. She was a founding member of Pinecrest Garden Club, former member of Franklin Woman's Club and an avid bridge player. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Linda S. Alvis, High Street United Methodist Church, Franklin, and the Rev. James W. Browder III, St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Courtland, Va. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, 1001 Armory Drive.
