She was born April 12, 1921, in Southampton County and was the daughter of the late Percy B. Edwards and Jane Burgess Edwards. She was a member of the Courtland Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and was a past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Dunn was the wife of the late Robert James Dunn Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dunn Cornwell and husband Ron of Berlin, Va.; two grandchildren, Chris and Ashley Cornwell of Berlin, Va.; a brother, George B. Edwards of Joyner, Va.; and a sister, Sarah Edwards Wrenn of Emporia, Va. She was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Cornwell. A funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Ira Hudgins. Burial will be in Millfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends at her daughter's residence in Berlin.
