Obituary of Gertrude Elizabeth Bradshaw Duck GERTRUDE ELIZABETH BRADSHAW DUCK Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 15, 1998 Gertrude Elizabeth Bradshaw Duck, 78, of 12 N & W St., died Aug. 14, 1998, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wright County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Bradshaw and Victoria Stephenson Bradshaw and the widow of Fred James Duck. She was a homemaker and employed with Planter's Peanut as a floorlady. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Walters, Va., where she attended the Ladies Bible Class, was a member of the Golden Age Club and Missionary Society and was a former Sunday School Teacher and youth leader. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy D. and William Earle ``Billy'' Brown; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Cynthia B. and Troy L. Robertson; great-grandsons, Hunter Clay Robertson and Carson Taylor Robertson, all of Windsor; Elsie O'Meara, whom she thought of as a daughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. Robert J. Bennett, the Rev. T.A. Powell and the Rev. Basil Ballard. Interment will be in Windsor Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
