E. Oscar Drewry, 60, a resident of Ivor, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1992, in his home. 

Mr. Drewry was a native of Southampton County and was a son of the late Kitty Bailey Drewry and Louis T. Drewry Sr. He worked as a foreman at Columbian Peanut Co., Wakefield, until he retired in 1985. He was a member of Barrett's Congregational Christian Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wade Drewry; a daughter, Kay Drewry Cass, and son-in-law, Mark Spencer Cass of Courtland; a sister, Annie Drewry Simms of Waverly; a brother, Charlie W. Drewry of Wakefield; and his father-in-law, Herman W. Wade of Ivor. 

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Millfield Baptist Church, Ivor, by the Rev. Mike Harrell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence, 12068 Appleton Road, Ivor. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad or to the building fund of Millfield Baptist Church, Ivor, Va. 23866.
