Fannie Hiday Dougherty, 98, a retired private duty nurse, died Nov. 1, 1992, in a nursing home. 

Mrs. Dougherty was born in Fortville, Ind. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Portsmouth. She was the widow of Clyde H. Dougherty. 

Survivors include two daughters, Bessie Mae English of Camden, S.C. and Barbara J. Puterbough of Dayton, Ohio; a son, Dr. Clyde H. Dougherty Jr. of Hopewell; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 

The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Rex Frost. Friends may join the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home. 

Memorial donations may be made to M.V.H. Seniorcare Adult Day Center, 2841 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, Ohio 45420.
