Helen Bradshaw Day, 77, of Smith Ferry Road, died April 29, 1994, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

She was born in Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the late William M. and Lucille Meredith Bradshaw. She had retired as a manager of W.L.Q.M. Radio Station with over 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of Franklin Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a daughter, Meredith Day Clark. 

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Frank R. Day Jr.; one daughter, Peggy D. Baxter of Cumming, Ga.; one son, Frank R. Day III of Cumming, Ga.; four sisters, Lucille Bruce of Frostproof, Fla., Barbara Mixon of Poquoson, Va., Jacqueline Duff of Franklin, and Ann Weatherington of Henderson, N.C.; five grandchildren, Charles B. Hogan IV, Anita Dillard, Shannon VanVoorhis, Brad Day, and Meredith Day; and two great-grandchildren, Charles B. Hogan V and Richard Dillard Jr. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. Roy DeBrand. Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
