Obituary of PAUL BEAMON DAVIS TRAILER SALES COMPANY'S OWNER Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, January 16, 1991 Paul Beamon Davis, 72, of the 100 block of Rochelle St., owner of Davis Trailer Sales in Courtland, died Jan. 14, 1991, in a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Davis, a native of Southampton County, had retired as a planner and estimator from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member and former vestryman of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was a member of Davis Ridley Hunt Club, a past master of Courtland Masonic Lodge and a former Cub Scout master. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Burbage Davis; two daughters, Karlie D. Walker of Virginia Beach and Carolyn D. Alford of Bridgewater, Va.; two sons, Paul B. Davis Jr. of Richmond and Robert W. Davis of Courtland; three sisters, Gladys D. Williams of Sebrell, and Josephine D. Barrett and Marjorie D. Whitehead, both of Franklin; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church by the Rev. James W. Browder III. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Riverside Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton County Historical Society or to Courtland Masonic Lodge.
