   RICHMOND – Mrs. Marion Beale Darden, the widow of James Ryland Darden, died May 15, 1994, in Richmond. Born March 26, 1898, she was a longtime resident of Holland where she was active in civic and church activities.
   She is survived by her son, Dr. James R. Darden, Jr. of Richmond; and two grandsons, Keith Norfleet Darden of Huntington, W.Va., and Jeffrey Miller Darden of Waterloo, Iowa.
   Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holland Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. David Seymour. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the home of Mrs. John Henry Powell, 7241 South Quay Road, Holland.  Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to Holland Christian Church or to a favorite charity. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge.
